Chicken kofta curry, a dish that is as delicious as it is fun to say, is a culinary masterpiece that will leave your taste buds dancing with joy. Chicken kofta curry

Ingredients

For kofta

  • 500 grams Chicken
  • 1.5 cups Chana dal soak it in water overnight
  • ½ cups Onions
  • 1 tbsp Garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp Ginger paste
  • 1 tbsp Red chili powder
  • ½ tbsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp Coriander powder
  • 1 tbsp Cumin powder
  • 1 tbsp Garam masala powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 Egg
  • ½ cup Coriander leaves
  • ½ cup Fried onions
  • 1 cup Oil for deep fry

For gravy

  • 1 cup Onion sliced
  • ½ cup Onion paste
  • 1 tsp Garlic paste
  • 1 tsp Ginger paste
  • 1 tsp Red chili powder
  • 1 tsp Kashmiri chili powder
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • ½ cup Curd
  • ½ cup Tomato puree
  • Salt to taste
  • 4 tbsp Oil

Instructions

  • Take a saucepan and add meat, chana dal, onions, garlic ginger paste, red chili, turmeric, coriander, cumin, garam masala powder and salt in it.
  • Add 4 cups of water and keep it for boil until it is completely dry.
  • After drying the water, wait until it gets cool.
  • Now add coriander leaves and fried onions in it and put it in the food processor and blend the mixture completely.
  • After blending put the mixture in a bowl, now add egg and mix it properly.
  • Now take a small portion of the kebab mixture and make a flat shape by using your palm.
  • In this way make all the kebabs. Refrigerate it for 30 minutes.
  • Now put the oil in a pan and heat the oil.
  • After the oil gets hot, deep fry all the kebabs until it gets dark brown in color.
  • Take a saucepan and put oil in it.
  • Add onions, stir it till it gets light brown in color.
  • Add garlic, ginger paste and stir it for 2 minutes.
  • Now add chili, turmeric, cumin and coriander powder and stir for 5 minutes.
  • After the oil gets separated add tomato puree and curd and stir for 5 minutes.
  • Now add the kofta kebabs and ¼ cup of water and mix it in a low flame.
  • Keep it in low flame for 5 minutes.
  • Turn off the flame and serve it hot.

Notes

Serve it hot with paratha or pulao {aromatic rice}.
