Ingredients
- 1 kg Beef
- 2 cups Chinigura aromatic rice
- 1 pcs Nutmeg
- 1.5 pcs Mace
- 1 tsp White pepper
- 2 pcs Cinnamon stick
- 6 pcs Green cardamon
- 1 cup Mustard oil
- 1 pcs Black cardamon
- 3 pcs Bay leaf
- 1 cup Onion slices
- 2 tbsp Garlic paste
- 2 tbsp Ginger paste
- 15 pcs Green chili
- 1 tbsp Roasted cumin powder
- 5 pcs Cloves
- Salt to taste
- 3 cups Hot water
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tbsp Kewra water
- 1/2 tbsp Sugar
Instructions
- Clean the beef first and cut into bite size pieces and keep that aside.
- Now in a food processor grind nutmeg, mace, white pepper, cinnamon stick, green cardamom together and make a powder.
- Take a saucepan and put mustard oil in it.
- After it gets hot add black cardamom and bay leaf in it.
- After 1 minute and sliced onions and stir it until it gets light golden brown in color.
- Add garlic and ginger paste and stir for 2 minutes.
- Now add beef, 4 green chilis, the special masala powder, roasted cumin powder and salt.
- Mix everything well.
- Add hot water and cook the beef in a closed lid and medium flame until it gets fully cooked.
- After the beef gets cooked separate the pieces of beef in another bowl.
- In the rest of the gravy add rice and stir it for 5 minutes.
- Add 3 cups of hot water and 1 cup of milk in it.
- Add 8 green chilis and salt and keep the flame in low heat.
- When the rice and water are at the same level, in the position add beef and mix well.
- Close the lid and wait for 10 minutes.
- After 10 minutes, flip the rice and wait for another 10 minutes.
- After 10 more minutes flip the rice again and close the flame and wait for 5 minutes.
- Serve it hot.
Notes
Garnish it with fried onions.
