Falafel, the Middle Eastern street food sensation, has taken the culinary world by storm. Crispy falafel
Ingredients
- 1.5 pound Chickpeas soaked overnight
- 1 cup Coriander chopped
- 1 Onion
- 1 clove Garlic
- 2 tbsp Flour
- 1 tbsp Salt
- 2 tsp Cumin powder
- 1 tsp Cumin powder
- 1/4 tsp Black pepper powder
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- Oil for frying
- 1 tbsp Sesame seeds
Instructions
- First, soak dry chickpeas overnight with enough water at room temperature.
- Take a food processor and put the soaked chickpeas on it.
- Add the herbs, onion, garlic and seasonings.
- To mix it all, blend it nicely and make a coarse paste.
- Now transfer it to a bowl, cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- After 30 minutes take the bowl out and mix sesame seeds in it.
- Make small flat patties by using your hands and keep it aside.
- Take a pan and put enough oil in it to deep fry.
- After heating the oil, put the falafel one by one and fry it until it gets golden brown.
- Serve it hot.
